It's funny you should say that, I was eying up the alcohol ink book I made a while back and wondered how that would work on embossed card hmmmm. Must try and find some THIN mirror board and try it out.

Hi Buechertiger

The blue card on the cover was run through the Cuttlebug like in the film. The ribbon is a decorative feature, not sure if I like it, its a bit too pretty for me. I'm not really into girlie stuff, but I was trying embellishments.

This book is A7, in case that is a mystery;
Standard printer paper is A4, cut in half you get A5, cut in half you get A6, this I folded in half to create the book at A7.

I think the book could have been improved with some kind of closure as it springs open when it is off the stand. Maybe some time in a press before I add the embossed panel would help.

I love learning new techniques, hense all the tutorials I end up posting. Learning new binding techniques is a love hate thing though, I love to learn new styles but do not find it easy following written instructions. I blame being dyslexic! I learm much better from a demonstration. That's why I love You Tube so much :)

Hugs

Another beautiful example of your work babes. It's always good to look at earlier work to see how far we've come and sometimes we even get inspiration from a forgotten technique! Lol Lynn ♥

Congratulations to learning a new technique. Isn't it always exciting to try a new structure?
Is this one of the cards you produced in your video? I like how it turned out on a cover. And am I right that this is only about as big as a hand? I think with this stitch as with others, doing small books doesn't exactly make life easier ;-) IS the ribbon tied around the book just for this picture or is it a functional part of the construction?

Nice work in any case!
