Welcome Back
I have always tried to keep this blog subject specific to the crafting side of my life. But today is a different post. I had a terrible shock yesterday morning, to find one of my lovely budgies Blue, had died in the night. After many tears we buried her in the garden yesterday but I needed to DO something. If you have ever felt the pain of loosing a close pet and feel others don’t understand visit Rainbow Bridge, the site has a collection of forums where you can find support and there is a Candle Lighting Tribute available for those you have lost and want to remember.
Here is a picture of my girl Blue
Blue is going to be in the Candle Lighting Tribute on Monday 13 April 2009. It is USA DST so for me in the UK it means getting up at 3am on Tuesday morning!
Dear Blue was feisty and often squabbled with the others in the flock Harry, Sky, Minty and Tiny but mellowed a little with time and allowed her other half Harry to preen her and would sit on my finger. I didn’t have her long, she came to live with us in June 2006, she was past first moult when we got her so we don’t know how old she was, but I loved her and will miss her greatly.
Lucky I’ve written most of this months blog entries already (thanks to an intermittent Internet connection) as just now I can’t think about anything.
On a happier note here are the rest of my budgies collectively known as the Blue Team

Here is a picture of the flock that owns me.
Thank you Rainbow Bridge for your thoughful site.
Best wishes and thanks for reading
Billie

Billie -
I’m so sorry you lost your little one. I know the pain of losing a beloved pet. Some folks don’t understand how attached we become to them and how much love and joy they bring to our lives. Please know you are in my thoughts, and of course, Blue lives on in your heart.

Thank you so much Elaine
Best wishes
