No birds, I have dogs. But my sister has a Quaker Parrot named Cleo. Whenever my sister goes on vacation Cleo comes to live with me, usually 2 or 3 times a year for about 2 to 3 weeks at a time. She just makes us laugh, she is such a wonderful mimic. She lets me know if I am running behind on her dinnertime, she makes the sound of a metal spoon stirring in a pot. When I put her down on the sofa between my husband and I, she will run and attack him if he moves to close to me. My dogs love her because she drops popcorn on the floor for them, she will actually whistle for them when she is ready to give them treats – lol. My grandfather had love birds when I was little and he used to let me hold them. He also had a black Myna bird named Cupid when I was a teenager. My grandfather owned a small corner grovery store in Los Angeles, California and he would bring Cupid to the store. We used to laugh because everytime a young attractive woman walked by Cupid would whistle! The girls would look at my grandfather as if to say “What a dirty old man” and he would point at the bird. They wouldn’t believe him until Cupid started to talk and whistle at them. We used to have so much fun with him. So while I don’t personally have any birds, I am quite familiar with them and find them fascinating.

The boys all sing and send kisses back to you Its surprising how much having Harry out for some exercise has helped his confidence. He used to just climb around the cage, now he flys when he can. This is an ongoing story, so do save the link if you want to find out how Harry gets on.

I’m so very sorry to hear about Sky. Two of your babies gone in such a short time. Poor Minty must be heartbroken and lost without her. Sky and Blue were so beautiful. At least they are now together, it is poor Minty who will need more care and attention now. Please know my thoughts are with you, I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet.
