Welcome Back
Given this month’s theme for The Virtual Crafting Challenge, is ‘Lacquers & Glazes’, I have decided to have a mad professor style play with some products and see what happens.
Experiment 1
What happens if you mix Perfect Pearls with various Golden mediums
Experiment 2
Create my own glitter glue.
I HATE glitter. Well I like the effects people get with it, but it gets me all OCD with clearing up. If you use glitter you have it around forever and a day. You find it on the table MONTHS after you have used it. I can cope with it when its mixed with glue, but don’t want to invest in lots of bottles of it, as I use it so little.
Create some Glazes
Test out Golden products as glazes, coloured and clear.
Results
OK I need to take pictures for next time (DOH) but in the mean time I tried some glazes with Perfect Pearls and was really pleased with the results. I have filmed a tutorial, which I will put on You Tube and on here when I’ve added narration
. Haven’t tried the glitter experiments yet
It’s so much fun to experiment and see what you get. You learn so much and discover just how versatile products can be. Have a go, see what you can come up with and share your creative results on here.
Please forgive this less than informative post, I’ve hurt my back and can’t concentrate too well at the moment. I had intended to add pictures to this post, but time got away from me.
Best wishes and thanks for reading, see you soon
Billie

All of these are great, Billie…..I hope you have a chance to stop by today.. xo
Hi Billie -
First, thank you for the final grungeboard bracelet video. I was finally able to get away and look at it. So waiting for my hitch post thingies to come in the mail and I will attempt a bracelet. Although I have to figure out how to get nice round ends since I don’t have the chomper.
Second, thank you for all your made scientist experimenting. Your experimenting is my gain – LOL!! I have found though that mixing Perfect Pearls with Judikins Diamond Glaze makes a nice creamy, shiny potion. I used it as a finish on a pair of shrink plastic earrings, quite nice.
Third – I hope you feel better very soon. A back that hurts is not very much fun. I speak from experience. It can get worse as time goes on and become unbearable. So please take care of yourself.
Hugs
Elaine
Hi Elaine
Thanks for your good wishes and comments
Your diamond glaze potion is great it will also work on metal and maybe glass as well as plastic, so give it a go. My back is still grumbling I’m afraid
I am taking it easy and hoping its just a pulled muscle. It gets very grumpy if it gets cold, so keeping it warm as pos.
Hugs
Billie xx

Just had to let you know that I must have really sympathized with your poor back. So much so that this morning cleaning the bathroom I twisted the wrong way and well . . . now I’m nursing a very painful back. So I hope you feel better soon, because perhaps my back will sense it and get well just as quickly!
Hugs
Elaine
Hi Elaine
Its you and me on the sofa with warming wheat bags at our backs then is it? Do hope you feel better soon and maybe my back will listen to yours, you never know
Gentle hugs
Billie
