Welcome Back
Today I’d like to share a picture of the Christmas card I made. This year has got away from me, in a big way! So I gave in and bought most of my Christmas cards. Part of the reason, was that I was making hand bound books as gifts this year and I had decided to do that quite late in the season, which meant I simply ran out of time. So much for my preparation!
Here is the card I made
The inks used were; Ranger’s Adirondack dye based ink and Tsukeneko Versa Fine in Onyx Black
The stamps were; Creative Expressions; Holly. Hero Arts; greeting stamp
The paint used was; Twinkling H2Os
The centre panel was plain white card, stamped then the background inked in. Next I painted the main motif in using the twinkling H2Os, which contain mica. This gives the card a lovely pearly sheen, when the light hits it.
The stamp plate also contains smaller motifs, which I used in the inside of the card and on the back. The greeting on the left, was from the Holly plate and the one on the right, was a Hero Arts one.
The base card is ivory hammered card from The Paper Mill shop.
Best wishes and thanks for reading, see you soon
