Welcome Back
In today’s post, my second Easter Card design for 2010.
This card was created using
Rubber Tapestry Stamps:
SHO20024 Partridge in a Pear Tree
SBR 04004 Winter Pine Border
SPO 20018 Speckled Egg Wreath
Ink: Ranger, Adirondack Dye Inks
Paper: White Hammered card from The Paper Mill
Spellbinders Nestabilites
Small Circle
Scallop Circle Small
Olive Organza Ribbon
The inside and back of the cards also feature the nesting bird.
These kind of cards take a while to make but they do make very pretty results.
Best wishes and thanks for reading, see you soon
Billie

Billie -
I do love how this came out. Those speckled eggs are just so adorable and the little partridge is so sweet. I think the sheer green ribbon is perfect on this card! Another fab creation by you!
Hugs,
Elaine
Hi Elaine
Thanks
Mixing the sets together came out ok didn’t it.
The design itself wasn’t my own idea, I was inspired by a very similar one on the Rubber Stamp Tapestry blog. They used yarn and a different bird image. I impovised with the sets I had.
Good old Adirondack inks, cover all occassions. Took me ages to collect the whole range, but it has been such a good investment. I used to shy away from the Rubber Stamp Tapestry sets when I only had odds n ends of ink pads. With the collection I have now, I can pretty much do any of the images I have from these sets.
My Easter ‘egg’ I bought myself arrived today from Joanna SHeen’s shop… will show you next week what it was.
Best wishes
Billie
Hi Billie –
I think it came out spendid! It’s funny how we often come up with wonderful things when we work with what we have?
I have all (except the new) Distress Inks, all the Ranger Archival, have quite a few of the Ancient Page inks and all 24 of the mini Momento inks, and some of the Adirondack Dye inkpads. I don’t have the Adirondack Pigment inks, but I have loads of the colorbox eye pads in pigment and chalk inks. Don’t ask me why I have so many, I started buying them years ago and kept thinking I needed them all – LOL! I do buy (or at least try) the re-inkers as well. So some of these pads are old, but continue to work because I re-ink them. I’m hoping to start getting the Adirondack colorwash sprays a bit at a time.
I only got the Momento inks because I got one set of 12 free for doing demos at a Rubber Stamp Store opening about a year ago. I started teaching a few classes there and got the 2nd set for less than half of what the owner paid, so how could I say no? LOL! Of course, I don’t have the re-inkers for those yet, and it will be a bit before I do, the store moved to another location so I’m not teaching there anymore. Too much with working a full time job and then trying to commute to the store which is far from where I live. But I do miss those bargain prices!
I can’t wait to see your egg! Looking forward to it. Happy Easter!!!!
Hugs,
Elaine
Hi Billie,
You’re card turned out wonderful. I especially like how the black nested bird sits inbetween all the lovely eggs.
You have a lovely blog.
