Hi All
Welcome back, hope you all had a wonderful time over Christmas. Just had to share a picture of the wonderful gifts my friends and family gave me this Christmas.
Yes that is a Kindle snuggled under the tree, I’m getting on really well with it and if you have Dyslexia like me I can recommend giving one a go. They don’t solve all the problems and I still need to use my coloured overlays with it, but its very versatile and helps greatly. Also good if you suffer from limited dexterity, I struggle to hold the pages of a book open for long, so the Kindle is much easier for me to handle. I’ll be doing a proper review of it in a few weeks, once I had a longer play with it.
Look at the lovely books too! My wonderful hubby got me the sewing books, I’d had these titles on constant loan from the library for AGES and he got them for me YEY!!!! GM gave me the Bag book and the Polymer Clay one too. There are some amazing projects in these books. I’ve already reviewed the other titles but will review these new ones during the coming year.
Not yet pictured as not yet assembled is a new desk, also from Hubby. I can’t use the sewing machine on the dining room table as it’s not really very sturdy for that kind of thing. It’s often far too cold to spend time in my studio during the winter months as it hasn’t any insulation or proper heating. So DH bought me a desk that I can have in the dining room. Looking forward to having a nice new workspace and will share pics once I have them.
Struggling on the health front again, travelling in the car visiting relatives during Christmas has set off the whiplash again
getting highly board of being in constant pain again! I was born without patience at the best of times and was really hoping for a healthier New Year. Trying to stay warm and resting up, so things settle again.
It’s been a wonderful Christmas and was white (there was lying snow left from the previous week). Hope you have had a lovely time too.
Best wishes and thanks for reading, see you soon
Billie

You lucky girl Billie. So sorry to hear you are in pain again, roll on the warmer weather which may help you. Winter seems to have dragged on and we aren’t even into January yet
I had a Bigshot from my lovely husband and am now waiting for the mats and various embossing folders and dies I have ordered to arrive.
The Bigshot was the only crafty item I had for Christmas – my family tend to steer away from crafts and books because, they say, they don’t know what I have or what I have read.
Another friend treated herself to an e-reader, Sony one I think, way back in the summer and she adores it.Said it is great for reading in bed
Hope your pain soon goes.
gentle hugs
Lynn xx
Hi Lynn
Thanks x. Congrats on the Big Shot, do you like Tim Holtz at all, he uses a Big SHot a lot. You can cut grungeboard with it too I think. It will certainly manage grunge paper.
Do you use Amazon at all? Just a thought as there is a feature you can add to your computers tool bar which gives you an ‘ADD TO WISHLIST’ option, for Amazon. So if you have favorite other online shops, you can go to your fave items on their web pages and click on this Add to wish list button and said item gets saved to your amazon wishlist. Its a great way to add crafty items to your wish list
Handy huh
As for the Kindle I’m loving mine, as your friend says great for reading in bed
Can highly recommend the Kindle and will be reviewing it in January.
Having a quiet afternoon looking through the new Polymer Clay book, its excellent.
Happy New Year
Billie
Billie I have wish lists so long I wonder if it is worth adding anything else to it!!
I ordered a Movers and Shapers die cut plus a few other dies and embossing folders and had a play today. Brilliant. I do have some grungeboard as I was going to make some bracelets (another list consists of projects to do!) so will have to try some of that through the Big Shot. My hubby thinks I am soooo clever!!!
A very Happy New Year to you and yours, hope you are soon painfree and looking forward to your videos, tutorials and blog throughout 2011. Must remember to keep my Christmas cards too for when you do the tutorial on making an advent calendar using them
I usually punch shapes out of the cards for tags for next Christmas
Happy New Year
Lynn xx
