Welcome Back
In today’s post I just had to share the picture of ice crystals that my husband took. These formed inside our water butts in the garden in the first and much colder snowfall at the beginning of December 2010.
Dh took the lid off the water barrel to see how much was still frozen and was amazed to find these beautiful crystals. He took pictures as they were likely to melt during the day. Isn’t nature amazing! Apparently it is Haw Frost that causes the crystallization. Pretty though, isn’t it.
These really do come under the heading of ‘The best things in life are free’.
Best wishes and thanks for reading, see you soon

Happy New Year Billie! I love these photos, they are just gorgeous! Mother Nature is truly amazing. I’m working from home today and it is really snowing tons as I look out my window. We still had snow on the ground from the last snowstorm the day after Christmas, we got 22 inches of the white stuff. So today’s storm is predicted to drop another 5 – 7 inches on top of that. My dogs are anxious to get out and play. The 1/2 German Shephard, 1/2 Husky mix loves the snow. The full German Shepard will play for a while then wants in – LOL! They are funny to watch out there.
Stay warm.

Love those photos Billie, wouldn’t they make beautiful background papers? 🙂
We had some fantastic patterns on the inside of our garden room and bedroom windows and thought I’d love a stamp of that!
We have had heavy rain all day here – still it is better than snow 🙂 Don’t want to see any more white stuff this winter.
How is your whiplash pain?
Stay well
Lynn
Amazing crystals and nice photos of them!
Happy New Year, Billie, and all the best for the new year to come.
Hi Hilke
Thanks, can’t take the credit for them though, DH took these 🙂 I was amazed when he showed the crystals and we just HAD to photograph them 🙂
Best wishes
Billie 🙂
