Welcome Back
This is another in my series of throwing colour around and seeing what turns up. I love Cryla paint and the gold especially. Here is a piece I painted onto matt board, the kind of board that people use for picture framing
This month’s Virtual Crafting Challenge is Paint. Go on give it a go, dig out the paints from the back of the cupboard and throw some colour around. Just paint em on, in what ever colours you fancy, like you did in primary school. Its much more fun and liberating when you stop trying to paint an image and just go with the flow of colours you like. You might not always end up with something that you want to show anyone, or put on your wall, but if you had a good time while creating YEY!!!!!
In a quote from Suzi Blu, repeat after me;
‘I give myself permission to create the worst art imaginable’.
GO on say it and mean it. I took Suzi’s advice and wrote that on the first page of a sketch book, and when doubts set in I read. ‘In this book I give myself permission to create the worst art imaginable.’ Do you know what happened? It took all the pressure off and I can honestly say there’s only one page in there that I don’t like, well that went ‘wrong’ and in fairness I learnt from that page, what didn’t work, so nothing has failed.
Put out some paper/ protect your work surface, get out a pile of paints and go for it, pretend you are 5 and have been let loose in the paint box. No rules, just fun. Play as messy (or not) as you like.
Then come and tell me how you got on, I’d love to hear your stories.
Best wishes and thanks for reading, see you soon
Billie

Love this look Billie, I can ‘see’ this over stamped with a script stamp of some type or one of those elegant Edwardian syle ladies. Beautiful colours.
