My mother befriended an elderly lady who lived near us and she knitted me several pairs of socks. Nice warm knee high ones, it was remembering those that made me knit these.

Not a patch on hers, but great when I get cold feet in bed :)

They look lovely and very cosy. My oma always knitted socks for us. I still have a pair, she used somekind of an undestructable woolen yarn :)
