Today I would like to share another painting that I have created, thanks to tuition from Julie Prichard’s Layer Love Class.
My second painting for the Layer Love Class
In this second lesson, there was some collage added to the picture….some of mine was totally hidden by opaque paint…. I will have another go at this painting at some point and try to reduce the opacity of some of the layers.
I am very comfortable with the backgrounds I make using inks, but it is hard to go back to being a beginner again now that I am using paint, definitely a learning curve. I am trying to follow the class properly, rather than follow the temptation to alter things too much, before I fully understand the concepts.
The Golden Fluid acrylic paint is wonderful though. I’m glad I didn’t rush into buying the heavy body kind. The Fluid acrylic is so versatile, it blends like a dream and is wonderful to apply to projects. My creative side is very excited about this adventure into paint…I can feel some ‘altered art’ coming on later in the year!
