Welcome Back

This month the Six by Four challenge is;

Make a Creative Piece based on things that Inspire You.

In the Virtual Crafting Challenge, I challenged you to collect or photograph things and images that inspire you. Use some of the images or elements that you have collected and create with them. This could be a card, a page or a piece of art. The only rule is the finished piece should measure 6 x 4″.

If you have a dedicated area where you create, this is where it would be good to display your finished piece.

I hope you enjoy this months challenge.

Best wishes and thanks for reading

Billie :)

Welcome Back

The 6×4 Challenge is a monthly challenge where you will be asked to create a piece 6 x 4″ in size. There will be a theme set, but the media you choose is entirely up to you.

January’s theme is

Rubber Stamping

Create your finished piece from  a 6 x 4″ piece of cardstock. The project must involve stamping in some way.

If you would like the chance to choose a theme for next month, hurry over to www.stampingMadForum.co.uk register to the forum, and sign up to the swap on there and next month it could be you setting the theme.

Best wishes and thanks for reading, see you soon

Billie :)

Welcome Back

I know this is late but finally here is the piece I created for the August’s Six By Four Challenge over on the Stamping Mad Forum. It was made almost on time but I forgot about the picture OOPS!

Floral Themed Swap

The great thing about this challenge is that it is virtual so there is no limit to how deep you make your card. Postage charges are such now that if you want to add lots of layers to your cards, the postage charges go right up. That was the reason for making this challenge entirely virtual, you can go as crazy (or not in this case) with the layers and not have to worry.

This is a handy size to work to 6 x 4″, it means your finished pieces will mount nicely if you need a quick card, and store easily in a photo box if you don’t want to part with them. I did think of that when I chose the size format ;)

The stamps were Florals by Katzel Kraft and the ink was Adirondack Dye ink in Stonewashed and Espresso, applied using Rangers Cut n Dry foam and then just a touch of Perfect Pearls spritzed on using a Mini Mister.

Best wishes and thanks for reading
