SMF Book Swap July 2008; Megan’s Page

Welcome Back

I would like to share the book page I made for Megan over on the Stamping Mad Forum’s book swap for July 2008.  Megan’s theme was ‘ Seaside or On the Water’.

I didn’t have any suitable stamps so Megan very kindly stamped some images for me and sent them with the blank page. This was the first time I have used silicone glue to give my images dimension and I will definately use it again, even if it does wiff! (Stink). I have not had any luck buying any decent 3D foam square in the last few years so had a go with the silicone. Sadly there was only a little left so will need to buy more.

Products used mainly Ranger unless otherwise stated.

Inks; Adirondack Dye Ink; Stonewashed, Sail Boat Blue, and Aqua

Inkssentials; White gel pen

Stamps of mine used; Hero Arts H2365 Old French Writing, LL031 Elegant Letter Set (alphabet)

Cut n Dry Foam to apply ink

Perfect Pearls in Mini Mister with water were irridescent green and irridescent blue. Two different misters not mixed together

SMF Book Swap 2008; Santtu’s Pages

Welcome Back

 

This is a bit of a combination of things today. I made these pages for Santtu’s book for the Stamping Mad Book Swap for July 2008. Her theme was ‘Winged things’. When the page arrived I was stuck for what to do with it as it was plain book board! Yikes! Then I remembered reading http://isascrapandstamp.wordpress.com/2008/04/10/new-technique-alcohol-inks-metallic-paint/

and I had some gold and silver metallic paint dabbers so I gave it a try.

It was scary to craft outside of my comfort zone but once I got into it, I loved it. I have made another one on a smaller scale for myself that I’ll make a book out of sometime. I am also putting this forward as my piece for this months challenge under;

The Virtual Crafting Challenge as the theme was Inks 2, and included solvent and alcohol inks
