Reason For Buying

I’d seen several finished projects created from this DVD, that I wanted to try, shown on C&C. In the past when I have bought boards of this kind, I really didn’t do that much with them. So I thought getting this DVD would encourage me out of my comfort zone and help me get more from the boards.

Pros

  • Any products used are listed at the end of each project
  • A variety of projects to suit all skill levels and ages

Cons

Not really a con, just a niggle. Something to be aware of ;)

Check the title, because although this title is mainly about the two new boards; The Envelobox Creator and the Boxer board, some of the projects shown require the Ultimate pro or other add in boards. Mainly just for embellishment but extra boards are part of the construction for; Swing card, Treasure chest, 3D Scene card.

Build Quality

This is an excellent quality DVD, not just for the content which I covered earlier, but the production quality is superb. The tutorials are well-lit, perfect sound and superb camera work too. No busy distracting backgrounds. The only music is during the gallery or during some assembly when there is no other dialog, so no struggling to hear instructions over music.

Value for Money

Excellent, Even if only a few of the projects appeal, it would cost far more than that for a tutorial class for just one project ;) I have turned into a DVD convert, it was easier to watch how to do techniques than trying to read how to construct things.

Would I buy it Again?

Yes, and if you have bought either the Enveloboxer or the Boxer board you will get a lot further, much faster with your boards when you watch the tutorials on here. Highly recommed this DVD to crafters of all abilities.

Summing up

Great DVD, beautifully made and projects shown from start to finish. Inspiration, education and fun to watch, well done Crafters Companion, a job well done! If you are a more advanced crafter, once you have understood these techniques, you can easily modify the projects to your own style.
