This tutorial is intended to be read in order, if you have not read the earlier parts, please click here to take you to the introduction. From there you will find links to all the parts of this tutorial. https://billiescraftroom.wordpress.com/2008/06/10/tutorial-moo-card-holder-featuring-the-scor-it-board-part-one/
If you have read the earlier parts of the tutorial you will now have;
- Folded pages.
- Two cover boards.
Here we go, we are now going to assemble your accordian book that will be your Moo card holder.
19. Select the piece that you would like to be the BACK cover of your book. Decide where you would like your ribbon closure to be positioned, and then place a piece of double sided tape across thecover board to hold the ribbon.
20. Remove the backing from the double sided tape, centre your ribbon on the tape and press the ribbon down on to the tape to ensure a good fix.
We will now attatch the book’s pages to the cover boards.
21. Apply glue to the back of the BACK page of your folded accordian pages. Press this firmly on to the back cover. If you have used a wet glue place a piece of waxed paper between the last two pages before you move on.
22. Place your front cover board on the table, apply glue to the page that is now at the top of the book, bring this top page over and place this neatly onto the inside of the front cover. Press this firmly on to the front cover. If you have used a wet glue place a piece of waxed paper between the first two pages before you move on.
If you have used wet glue (PVA or similar) remember to have waxed paper in between the newly glued pages and the rest of the book, front and back. Wrap your entire book in waxed paper and leave to dry under a flat weigh. You could use a pile of books if you do not have a press. Leave the book under the weight until the glue is dry.
Tie your ribbon closure and your Moo Card Holder is complete.
This is how mine finished up.
Congratulations you have now completed an Accordian book. By altering the dimensions you can create albums to suit whatever sized pictures you wish to store. How about making a similar one for ATCs.
