Welcome Back
I saw Judi Watanibi make a Surprise Box with Flair over on www.tvweekly.com and have tweeked the idea a little to create a gift box.
I was trying to work out how to show you this as a tutorial when I discovered Erin Michele over on You Tube wonderfully demonstrates just what I was trying to show you.
You can make this box in any size as long as there is about a 1 cm difference between your base and lid pieces of paper.
You Will Need
- Two pieces of square card, scrapbook card is ideal.
- The second piece of card needs to be 1cm smaller on two sides, than the first.
- Pencil
- Scissors or craft knife
- Steel ruler
- Cutting mat
Method
Fold cut and assemble the base and lid of the box as shown in Erin’s video http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=q3ROyc7iEZY&NR=1 and you will have a nice sturdy gift box.
Decorate to suit your project, I have added a medallion created from a rubber stamp and pierced a small hole in the centre of the lid to add a ribbon pull.
