Welcome Back
Today I would like to share a few photos of the painting I created after taking Julie Prichard’s Layer Love Class. This painting is in shades of grey and includes Golden’s crackle paste for dimension.

This is the finished painting, I was really pleased with how it turned out. The Golden Crackle paste sure did take a long time to dry, but it does look cool!

Here is a close up of the crackling on the left of the painting, I love how the blue from the Payne’s grey shows up against the black.

More crackle on the right. Billie's painting for Lesson 4 of Layer Love Class
Another close up, this time of the other area’s with crackling.

This is the same painting from a slightly different angle. Its tricky taking photographs of these paintings. They have lots of layers and tones that the camera doesn’t always pick up.

Earlier stage of the painting, its still on the board
For comparison, this photo shows how the painting looked before I added the glossy layer. I like both, but think I prefer the glossy one as the light really catches the different angles created by the crackly paint.
Thanks to Julie Prichard for an excellent class and for your continuing encouragement and support.
