In today’s post, a review of;
Provocraft Cuttlebug Embossing Folders
Why I bought them
Since I have a lot of trouble with dexterity, embossing using an embossing tool and metal stencil is beyond me. These folders make embossing so much easier.
The Embossing Folders are well made, from a sturdy plastic. As the name suggests they open like folders. You simply open the folder, pop in your card, run it through your Cuttlebug and you are done. There are a wide selection of designs to suit many different styles.
Not really got any cons on them. It can be a bit tricky to determine which pattern is which, once you discard the packaging. To get round this, I emboss a piece of pearlescent card with each folder, then file the card in front of the folder it matches, in the box in which I store them. It would be good if Provocraft wrote the design name on the folders, but again if you want to quickly sort through them in the box, just use a permanent pen to write the folder name on it. (As I did, shown in the picture above). The (D) is because this particular folder De bosses rather than Embosses. To have an embossed pattern on a specific side of the cardstock, I just flip the card over, for this particular folder. This one is Textile.
Value for Money
Great! Around£5 each, they are sturdy and don’t take up much room to store.
Would I buy Again
