Reason For Buying
I saw this demonstrated on Create and Craft and after sitting on my hands for a couple of days could resist no longer. Although it’s not my usual style I’ve always wanted to paint but gave up as I found it too difficult, which was how I came to stamping. Sheena made everything look simple and achievable and I really wanted to give the techniques a try.

Pros/Cons
Pros
The quality of filming, lighting and sound are fantastic.
The DVD is divided into sections which allow you to easily get to a particular chapter, if you only have ten minutes to spare, or you can watch the whole thing.
Sheena shows you the entire process, from choosing suitable paints, brushes and surfaces. Through the techniques and how to apply the techniques on each of the separately available 6 stamp sets.
Very clear instructions. Sheena explains things really well and you could easily paint along with her once you have the other items.
I really like how using rubber stamps means you can get started really quickly and simply to achieve impressive results and also that once you have practiced the techniques, in time you can move on to painting with out the stamps too.
Cons
I don’t really have any, there were a few occasions when the camera cut away from techniques a little early, but they were techniques that had been shown previously. I’m sure this was just to keep the DVD to a practical length and when you watch through the whole DVD you don’t miss anything. Its only if you are watching a particular section in isolation that you notice it. All the techniques you need are shown in full.
Build Quality
The quality of filming, lighting and sound are all fantastic. Wonderful close-ups of what is being shown, no distracting backgrounds, well-lit. This DVD is top class on all fronts, from content to production quality.
Value for Money
Excellent! Even if you only buy the DVD (without the stamps) You will still learn so many wonderful techniques that will take your painting to the next level.
Would I buy it Again?
Yes and I highly recommend it to everyone looking to improve their painting skills and try out some new techniques.
Summing up
This DVD is fantastic, as I say it was something completely different to my usual style, but I’ve really enjoyed it. I will be watching it again and again to learn the skills shown.
Sheena is a brilliant teacher, she explains everything so clearly and in a way that makes you feel like you could do it too. I especially like the fact that things are so well explained that you can stretch yourself beyond using the stamps as your skills evolve.
This DVD is like a workshop with Sheena, she has such an encouraging presentation style that you feel like you really are in a class with her. The great thing is, you can rewind and replay any thing as many times as you want to. An excellent DVD and an excellent concept too, Sheena says this is just the beginning and I’m very excited to see where she will take us in the future with this technique.
I’m converted, put me down as a Sheena Fusioneer, are you?

Thank you Sheena for an Excellent tutorial DVD. As well as buying the DVD, I did buy all the stamps as well. 🙂 Just saving up for the brushes next, I’m going to try the techniques with Golden Fluid Acrylics. I’ll post again to let you all know how that goes.
Best wishes and thanks for reading, see you soon
Billie 🙂
I love Sheena’s style of tutorials and her enthusiasm. The only problem and the main con is that Sheena’s enthusiasm ends up with costing us money!!
She is a brilliant teacher and I think she missed her vocation there. I often hoped she would make DVDs to demonstrate so many of her techniques and inspiration. Not sure I want to go down this path of painting just yet but would love to master the stamping and ‘painting’ with inks that Sheena does so well.
I hope you share with us your projects when you get started on this folk art.
Hugs
Lynn xx
