Welcome Back
Today I’d like to share a picture of some daffodils I sketched and coloured with Winsor and Newton Artists watercolour paint.
My plan that painting flowers would be good because they don’t move, didn’t quite work out as expected. I have learnt that I need to speed up with my drawing and colouring as the plant certainly won’t be in the same position by the following day! That’s why only one of the flowers was coloured, but the time I’d taken forever to mix the colours and layer them on it was too dark to paint the other ones in.
Perhaps I’ll break the task into separate pieces. Work on just sketching for a while to learn the plant shapes and later when my speed improves worry about painting them in 😉 its amazing how much you learn about a plants shape, when you spend a good while observing it. Hayfever plus flower painting isn’t a good mix though {cough, cough, splutter}. It was a sneeze fest after a few days! I guess you have to suffer for your art though, its traditional right? hehe
Best wishes and thanks for reading, see you soon

Thanks Lynn
These came out great, some of the other I’ve drawn since were not as pretty.
Wish I understood how one day I can draw, the next I can’t. Whats that all about????
