In today’s post I’m sharing my latest project created using texture paste.
This piece is still a work in progress, I’m going to age it some more and perhaps add some text. In the future I’m hoping to make a book from it.
- Daler Rowney Texture Paste
- Winsor & Newton Galeria Acrylic paint
- Dreamweaver Stencil
I’ve had the stencil for YEARS but only this year have the texture paste to use with it. I have chosen the Daler Rowney texture paste over the Dreamweaver’s own paste because the Daler Rowney one is white I can recolour it using acrylic paint. I knew if I got into this kind of technique that I would want LOADS of colours but haven’t the budget or space for them all. This way I can co-ordinate my paste with my project without lots of additional pots of paste.
Here’s the project before I put the coloured paint over the top.
What is your favorite way to use stencils? I’m new to using them and hoping to collect more of the plastic kind for background techniques. Any tips for favorite designs or brands you love?
Best wishes and thanks for reading, see you soon
