Today I’d like to share a card I made using digital crafting and mixing it with real life crafting, otherwise known as hybrid crafting. Making use of Serif Craft Artist and my favorite rubber stamp to create this;
The background was created using Serif craft artist software and digikits, next I added text using a font style called Papyrus which I adore. I printed this out and stamped on my favorite stamp HJ009 Singing crane.
The base card is Centura Purl cardstock.
On the inside of the card I made a panel again using Serif and the same font as on the front of the card. I bought a plaque with this poem on, a short while after my father passed away and it really summed up how I felt, that as long as I remembered my Dad and spoke of him then he wasn’t ever gone, he would live on in my heart and mind.
This particular card is a sympathy card but it would also work well as a card for support for someone going through stressful times, although I’d use a different insert if I used the design again in that way.
To keep the theme continuing though the project, I also stamped the crane on the envelope.
Haven’t made a card in AGES. A lot of that is down to the fact that now Paper Mill are only available mail order and postage charges are so high, getting more card-stock is so expensive. As is posting anything too dimensional.
Best wishes and thanks for reading, see you soon
