Welcome Back

I would like to share the card I made for the Stamping Mad Forum’s Christmas and Yule card swap.

00168p001

I used the Village stamp from Creative Expressions, with Versafine ink in sepia. The lamp post is stamped in Onyx Black Versafine ink, they are coloured with Derwent Artists Pencils. The poinsettia are coloured with Twinkling H20s, sadly the Icicle colour that I used to show snow doesn’t photograph well :(

DH helped me create an insert in Word for the inside of the card, which gave it a nice professional finish.

Welcome Back

I know this is late but finally here is the piece I created for the August’s Six By Four Challenge over on the Stamping Mad Forum. It was made almost on time but I forgot about the picture OOPS!

Floral Themed Swap

Floral Themed Swap

The great thing about this challenge is that it is virtual so there is no limit to how deep you make your card. Postage charges are such now that if you want to add lots of layers to your cards, the postage charges go right up. That was the reason for making this challenge entirely virtual, you can go as crazy (or not in this case) with the layers and not have to worry.

This is a handy size to work to 6 x 4″, it means your finished pieces will mount nicely if you need a quick card, and store easily in a photo box if you don’t want to part with them. I did think of that when I chose the size format ;)

The stamps were Florals by Katzel Kraft and the ink was Adirondack Dye ink in Stonewashed and Espresso, applied using Rangers Cut n Dry foam and then just a touch of Perfect Pearls spritzed on using a Mini Mister.

Welcome Back

Over on the Stamping Mad Forum I run a virtual challenge know as the Six By Four Challenge. It got its name from the size of paper that you use to create a project on that month’s theme, 6 x 4″. If you would like to choose a theme for a future Challenge come on over to www.stampingmadforum.co.uk join the forum and the challenge from there and you will be in with a chance. Rather than always being my choice of what the theme is, I choose someone from the list of people who has joined in with the challenge in the current month to suggest a them for the following month.

This month’s theme was chosen by Silverwing and the theme is

‘Stitching’

Encorporate stitching into your piece in any way that you like. It could be a design entirely stitched for those into cross stitch. You could use a template to pierce a design and sew that, or simply pierce some holes around the edges of a stamped image to sew into, or as a decorative boarder etc.

Have fun

Best wishes and thanks for reading

Billie

I’ll show you what I have made for this month’s challenge next week ;)
